On May 30, 2015, we were in Philadelphia, PA to promote our product to the wonderful women attending the International Natural Hair Meetup Day. The black dress event was hosted by CinagrOrganic and celebrated women who are transferring from chemically processed hair to their natural state; women who have already made their transition and show off their natural tresses every single day; and to inform women how to care for their tresses in its natural state and under hair extensions.
There were hair workshops conducted by hair specialists like the Braided Barbie, who educated women on her knot-less crochet technique which looks more natural than the knotted technique.
Onisha Claire, owner of Koco Nails Salon in Philadelphia, headed a business 101 class that was very informative to new businesses.
There was also a very well organized panel discussion moderated by natural hair blogger, Monet Fitzgerald of curls and mo, with some of Philly’s most respected hair bloggers: Lindsey Rodriguez (princesslinzz), Lezley & Ariyon (curlswithlove), Geraldine Ferrer (forcurlssake), Ariane Williams (blacknaps), Julie Thomas (juboolee), Natasha Keele (chasing_sidewalks), Victoria Dunn (talktresses), and Tyshia Ingram (thisbrownqueen).
The Glam Bar, was a pampering suite where attendees could indulge in services provided by beauty professionals such as eyebrow sculpting, eyelash extension installation, makeup application and chair massage to name a few.
What we loved most about the event was being able to share information about our Naturaz product with women who wanted to learn more about how to best hydrate their natural hair. There were so many women who sampled our product and were instantly in love with
the how shiny and hydrated their hair looked and felt. At Naturaz, we always express the importance of moisturizing the hair to promote growth and healthy hair from roots to end.
The organizers behind Healthy Tresses & Black Dresses Glam Soirée were using the event to broaden awareness of the INHMD Cares beneficiaries, Curls for Girls, a local initiative for school-aged girls to get professionally styled tresses upon returning back to school in September. This is event was
is organized by Cyndi Lane of Iconz Agency. Proceeds will be donated to Curls for Girls for their upcoming 2015 event in September.
We had a wonderful time at the International Natural Hair Meetup Day and we look forward to what’s in store for 2016. See you there!
